Breakfast is definitely my favourite meal of the day, I decided I would give French toast a go and I was really pleased with how it turned out! It's super easy and makes a really delicious, filling and semi healthy breakfast! So I thought this would be a perfect post for a Sunday and I would share the recipe I used!
For 1 Portion -
Ingredients -
2 Eggs
2 Slices of Bread, I used brown
4 Tbsp Milk, I used skimmed
1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
1 Handful of Blueberries
Oil for the Pan
Maple Syrup for Drizzling
Icing Sugar for Dusting
Method -
1. In a medium, shallow bowl, whisk together, eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon.
2. Add oil to pan and heat for a few minutes.
3. Place each slice of bread into the egg mixture and soak on both sides, shake off the excess and place bread into pan.
4. Fry the toast until brown on one side, then flip and allow to brown on the other side.
5. Serve French toast onto plate, I added a handful of blueberries, drizzled over some maple syrup then dusted with icing sugar, although add whatever topping you like best!
