I'm not going to lie, up here in the North East, we haven't had much of a Summer so far...There has only been 3 or 4 days where it's been hot enough to sunbathe, not counting the lovely hot days me and my boyfriend spent in London at the end of June. But I still thought I would share the essentials I've been using this Summer.
Starting off with the My little Beauty Complexion Enhancer Glowing Skin. I find this is a lovely quick base, super light weight and glowy, it has a slight tint to it and has a gorgeous apricot and edelweiss scent. Great for on the go!
Another base essential product is the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder. This has to be the best powder I've used. It stops my makeup slipping off my face, guaranteed to happen if it's warm, but without being cakey. It's super light on the skin and smells beautifully fruity!
A blusher I have been obsessed with is the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Lovely Pink (full review here). It gives off such a gorgeous glow, it's speckled with amazing gold flecks and gives your cheeks that fabulous Summer lit from within look.
My all time favourite highlighter has to be The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer. I could put this stuff on until the cows come home! It's the perfect champagne highlighter and looks more than amazing on the tops of your cheekbones.
A new bronzer to my collection but a firm favourite has to be the Kiko Essential Bronzer in Warm Melange. This bronzer is so easy on the eye, I honestly could just stare at it all day. It's great for pale skin if you don't use a heavy hand, it's amazing for warming up the face. Yes the wooden packaging is extremely bulky but I thin it's part of its charm!
For lips something I always reach for is MAC Cremesheen in Peach Blossom. This has to be the easiest to wear lipstick I own. Since its a cremesheen finish it's super moisturising on the lips and has a gorgeous almost pearlescent peach shade.
Finally to make sure all that makeup actually stays on your face during the warm days is the Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray. I find that this makes a real difference and whatever they put in here works!
