Made Cafe in Whitley Bay is somewhere I found out about a couple of weeks ago. I saw some photographs of it and instantly fell in love! It's completely beautiful, a lovely quaint vibe, dainty and indulgent treats served on gorgeous vintage crockery. In addition to the delicious food, they also sell unique gifts, I picked up some quirky toadstool candles and my mam bought a couple of books. Made Cafe also run a variety of different craft workshops.
Me and my mam shared the Irresistible Afternoon Tea, priced at £8.95 pp. I thought this was very reasonable. The price included 8 little sandwiches, we had beef and mustard, turkey and chutney, egg and cheese savory. We had a cheese scone each, a date and chocolate scone each, with strawberry jam, butter and clotted cream. We than had a variety of cakes, a chocolate brownie, banana cake and cherry and almond cake. The price also included drinks, we both had a caramel hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. Everything was divine! One of the best Afternoon Tea's I've ever had!
The decor was beautiful, had a gorgeous vintage feel which I love! I'm obsessed with anywhere like this, the walls had lovely shabby chic decorations. I loved all the retro cutlery and tableware, the pom poms with teacups hanging from the ceiling. The mismatched furniture looked great. The atmosphere here was really nice, really friendly and relaxed.
My trip here was fab! If you live in the North East or if you're in the area I would definitely recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed!
