I'm a total cookie novice, I've never really been into baking cookies, maybe I've been scarred by memories of them all running into each other, but I thought I would give it another shot and I was so pleased with how they turned out! This cookie recipe is so foolproof and can be used with any alternative ingredients! My boyfriends dad and stepmam brought me some Toblerone back from their holiday and I thought Toblerone cookies sounded really yummy! So like I said, you can of course switch up the Toblerone with any chocolate you like, I think I want to try Rolo next!
Makes 12 Cookies
Ingredients -
75 g butter
75 g granulated sugar
75 g light muscavado sugar
1 egg
175 g self raising flour
100 g toblerone, roughly chopped
Method -
1. Lightly grease and line two baking trays, heat the oven to 180 degrees C/Gas Mark 4.
2. Cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy, then beat in the egg.
3. Fold in the flour and toblerone pieces. Place large teaspoons of the mixture onto the baking trays, allowing room for them to spread. Bake for 12 minutes.
4. Cool on the baking trays for a couple of minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling, cookies can be eaten cool or warm.
These sound amazing, I love toblerones! And cookies so. Definitely trying these :)
