Well these aren't the best looking treats I've ever made...but they taste amazing! After watching Gabriella's video, I decided I would give them a go. Although being the idiot that I am, I used pink and white marshmallows instead of just white, which meant that the mix wouldn't turn green, just brownish yellow...so I improvised with covering them in white chocolate coloured green!
Ingredients -
30g Butter
180g Marshmallows
100g Rice Krispies
1 Tube of Smarties
Green Food Colouring
100g White Chocolate
Method -
1. Melt your butter in a pan and add in the marshmallows, stir in until completely melted.
2. If you're not covering them in chocolate, add the green food colouring here.
3. Take the pan off the heat and add in the rice krispies. Stir until completely coated in the marshmallow mix.
4. Press the mix into a baking tray until level. If you want to cover them in chocolate, melt in the microwave and add the green food colouring. Spread over the krispie mix.
5. Decorate with the smarties. Chill in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
6. Use a Christmas tree shaped cutter to cut out the shapes, this is the hardest bit but have patience!
