Winter Skincare Saviours

So it's that time of year where the dry skin comes out to play, I mean I have dry skin all year round...but the cold definitely plays its part in making it worse! So I've tried to cover most areas with this post to pack that moisture back in!

Firstly for a cleanser I've picked the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser. I've chosen this one because when my skin is feeling super dry I always go to this cleanser, it's really gentle and doesn't strip the skin at all, this one definitely keeps the moisture in!

Next for serum I've picked the Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum In Oil. I absolutely love the Vitamin E range, I'm sure you can tell from the photo! It's so super nourishing, soaks into the skin really well and makes it feel amazingly soft in the morning.

Onto hand cream, I was torn between this and Hand Food by Soap & Glory but in the end I went for the EOS Hand Lotion. I absolutely love this little guy, it makes your hands gorgeously soft as well as smelling like raspberry, these also come in other scents.

Next moving to face masks the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask is one of my all time favourite masks. It's a lazy girls dream mask because you don't need to wash it off, so overnight your skin can drink up all the goodness!

For lips I've gone with a golden oldie in Carmex, just the original version, this one has limited edition packaging from the Selfridges Beauty Box, but it's your bog standard lip balm and it does the job so well for me.

Onto eye cream again from the Body Shop Vitamin E range. I do suffer from dry skin around my eyes sometimes, but a drop of this before bed really sorts out those rough patches. It goes on really well and sinks in quickly.

Finally for moisturiser one of my all time favourites, the Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream. I've been using this on and off for a couple of years and I always go back to it. It's a gorgeous thick night cream but it doesn't weigh your skin down, just makes it super soft!

  1. I have never tried anything from the Origins range but have heard such good things about it. This has just made me want to try it even more, a mask you don't need to wash off sounds like my cup of tea! You're right such a lazy girls dream x

  • Great blog! Body Shop Vitamin E range is fab - although I just wash my face with olive oil and a hot cloth - it removes all make up and helps my oily skin retain moisturer without being too greasy or needing extra moisturiser. Once a month a use a bicarbonate soda mask and that's it. Helps with breakouts. and relatively inexpensive too. :)
