The leisure centre at Eldon Square was always a bit of a mystery to me, up on floors all of its own, I'd never ventured up there! However recently Eldon Leisure Centre has had a massive reburb, as part of a £3 million development project, me and my boyfriend were kindly invited along to try out the new tenpin bowling centre. Featured there now alongside the gym etc are a Vertigo climbing wall, Jungle Jack's Adventure soft play, 2 new cafes and the place we visited, and like I mentioned, the new 8 lane tenpin bowling centre.
The centre features a brand new restaurant, which we didn't get a chance to try as well as a fully licensed bar. The bowling features different ticket prices, with discounts for groups, students and juniors as well as a party package.
When we arrived we had the whole place to ourselves, I reckon during the week at night this place is a bit of a hidden gem! Although I imagine it can get quite busy at the weekend, however it's open 7 days a week!
We were both really impressed with the new facilities, the decor was lovely and the whole place was really well laid out. Although I like to think I'm Fred Flintstone and I have twinkle toes when bowling my boyfriend always manages to beat me! We both really enjoyed the intimacy of the centre and wouldn't hesitate to return!
*We were kindly given a game of bowling free of charge, as always all thoughts are my own!
If you enjoyed this post I would love if you would consider nominating me in the North East Blogger Awards under Best Looking Blog, details here!
I had absolutely no idea this place existed!
