Restaurant week rolled round again and this time we decided on a trip to The Herb Garden. We've been meaning to try here for ages after hearing really good things. They had a really good deal on for Restaurant Week which was any pizza and a soft drink/bottle of Peroni/glass of Prosecco for £10, which is great because some of the pizzas alone were more than that!
The Herb Garden is in a little spot near central station, in a unit under the arches, next door to The Sausage Emporium (which is also lovely). The restaurant doesn't do reservations, which we were a little worried about, we showed up at about 6:30pm on Wednesday to be told there was a 40 minute wait for a table, we decided to wait as we didn't have other plans. Luckily we were only waiting for about 20 minutes, if that, and did see other people coming in and leaving after hearing 40 minutes...
We were shown to our table and absolutely loved the decor. After ordering a Peroni and a Prosecco I went for the mozzarella, pecorino, gorgonzola, taleggio and basil. My boyfriend ordered the mozzarella, blue cheese, truffle and chive. Both of which were totally delicious, super cheesy and made in a proper pizza oven. My boyfriend also ordered a side of crispy Mediterranean potatoes which were really yummy.They certainly know how to do a great pizza, although they also do salads, calzones and sharers. I'm sure we'll be back!

I'm loving the sound of Restaurant Week Katie... we're new to the area so are a bit slow on the uptake with these things, but i'll be on it next time it rolls around for sure!
