Tanya Burr Advent Calendar Haul

Tanya Burr Advent Calendar Contents

Last year (sounds weird saying that!) I decided to go for the Tanya Burr Deck the Hauls Advent Calendar, I really wanted a beauty one, the year before I'd had the Ciate one but after almost a year of using the polishes, I realised they weren't actually that good...so I didn't want to buy it again. There were some amazing super expensive ones around, I was practically drooling over the Charlotte Tilbury and Jo Malone ones, but my budget couldn't stretch that far!

The Tanya Burr Advent Calendar retailed at £25, however I managed to pick it up when it was on sale for £15 at Superdrug. I think the price point is about right, I might have been a little disappointed if I'd paid full price, but for £15 I was really pleased. I've used Tanya's lip glosses before and really really liked them, so I was super excited to see what was behind all the doors!

So onto the bits and pieces in the calendar, starting with nail polishes, there were two - firstly a dark blue shimmer polish with blue glitter flecks and bigger chunks of glitter in silver and green called Under the Sea. Next a orangey purple shade with multicoloured glitter in a variety of shapes and sizes called Carnival Night. I thought it was a bit strange that these weren't Christmas themed, whether in name or shade, but I love the packaging! The polishes are a bit wishy washy, more of a top coat.

There were two sets of lashes with adhesive in the set, although I've already used one of the pairs! The pair photographed are called Party Girl, they're much more of a night our pair, really thick and long. The other pair were called Girl Next Door which I wore on Christmas Day, they were much more of a daytime lash, but still long and voluminous, they stayed on all day!

There were two Shimmer Pots in the calendar, the one on the left is called Starry Night which is a lovely dark grey shimmery glitter, the one on the right is called Creme Brûlée, which is a gorgeous copper shimmery shade. I haven't gotten around to using these but I'm sure they'll be lovely on.

There was also three mini lip glosses, which have to be my favourite part of the calendar. The one at the bottom is called Bewitching, a lovely reddy pink shimmery gloss. The one in the middle is Candy Frost, a bright bubblegum pink glitter shade and the one at the top is Macaroon, a lovely pinky nude with lots of silver shimmer. I really like these glosses, again the packing is fab and the doe foot applicator is great. They smell amazingly of vanilla, they're very pigmented and the texture isn't at all sticky!

Finally the last bits and pieces were two nail files, I could only find one for the photograph! I think two is a bit of a let down...and finally a little heart shaped pocket mirror which is cute. I was impressed with this advent calendar and wouldn't hesitate to get another if she brings one out next year!

Did you have a beauty advent calendar this year?
