4 Places to Eat in Amsterdam

Whenever I'm off on a trip somewhere, I always look at blog recommendations on places to eat, they always have the best suggestions! Some places that might be a little less touristy and easier to navigate than using Trip Advisor! So I thought for todays post I would let you in on 5 places that to eat in Amsterdam! I went there for 3 nights a couple of years ago and it's such a gorgeous place, I'd go back in a heartbeat! The food we had was delicious so I thought I'd share some places I loved! I will say I visited here before I was a vegetarian so I'm not great for the veggie recommendations!

1. The Pancake Bakery

First stop, The Pancake Bakery. If there's something you can find in abundance in Amsterdam, it's pancakes! You can't not give them a try, and I would definitely recommend here. As you can see by the photos, their pancakes are huge! The ones you see here are their "Speciality Pancakes", they're not the cheapest at about 12€ but they're totally worth it! They have a huge menu featuring sides and savoury pancakes as well as sweet, so go with a big appetite and you won't be disappointed!

2. Bagels & Beans

Bagels & Beans is a chain of restaurants which you'll find all over Amsterdam, although going in there, you would never guess! Obviously they specialise in bagels, they have a number of fillings and they're probably the best I've had! They're decent value for money at about 6€ for a bagel. Everything is super fresh and they have a bit of a hippy vibe going on which I love! I'd definitely recommend stopping in here for a quick but delicious lunch!

3. Pancakes! Amsterdam

Shocker, another pancake recommendation! I couldn't help myself, they just call out to me! Pancakes! Amsterdam is another hyped up pancakes restaurant and I completely see why. Be prepared to wait for a table but you won't be disappointed! Again they feature sweet and savoury pancakes, but also pancakes from around the world. Also you can't go to Amsterdam and not have their fresh mint tea, this one was especially great!

4. Herengracht

This one was somewhere we stumbled upon while walking along the canals, this doesn't happen often as I normally have an itinerary for every occasion! This is another place great for brunch or lunch, I'd recommend this place if you're looking to try some traditional Dutch food, like the cheese sticks and the bitterballs we tried. The outdoor seating here is lovely too, it was fab sitting in the sun people watching.
