What I've Been Watching | February 2016

I'm not sure why I haven't done one of these posts before, I'm a serial Netflix binge watcher, I watch the UK Netflix on my TV and watch the US Netflix on my PS4, so I can get the best of both worlds! I thought I would do a little post on what I've been watching and enjoying if you need some Netflix inspiration! I'm thinking about doing these like once a month featuring top 5 TV shows and top 5 films!

Top 5 TV Programmes -

The Vampire Diaries -
The ultimate teen vampire show, full of blood, romance, sex, gorgeous adults pretending to be 18, what more can you want?! Deciding you love Stefan more than Damon, then changing your mind...and changing it again and again.

Sons of Anarchy -
This is one I watch with my boyfriend, if you're looking for something to watch with a lad that likes action, choose this! Based on a biker gang, again this one is full of sex, plenty of dodgy dealings, gun, shoot outs, drugs, bar brawls, you name it!

Mad Men -
If you're into cool people living in 60's New York, this is for you! Set in an advertising agency and the people who work there...again this is full of sex (what's wrong with me?!), it's got a super cool laid back vibe, the sets and costumes are amazing!

Pretty Little Liars -
Everyone and their grandma goes on about PLL, even if you think you won't like it, I'd recommend giving it a go, it's not how I thought it would be. Based around teens getting stalked by the mysterious A this is seriously addictive, binge watching it then having to wait a week for the new episode is like torture!

The X Files -
Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll have probably heard that The X Files has returned after 14 years, the new episodes are back so why not re-watch the classic episodes on Netflix. The X Files is one of those shows that just speaks to your soul, it's one of my all time favourites. I'd be a bit concerned if you didn't know what The X Files were about, basically Mulder/Scully/FBI/Aliens!

Top 5 Films -

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs -
If you're feeling a bit rubbish this film will definitely make you feel better, I've lost count of how many times I've watched this, it's such a feel good film, just makes you feel warm and cosy! It's about food that rains from the sky, life goals!

Small Soldiers -
A total classic this one reminds me of being little, it's a total action film to watch with the kids, fun and the graphics are surprisingly good for the age! Toy soldiers running around causing havoc, amazing!

Big Trouble in Little China -
I feel like I can't even describe this film it's so weird, I absolutely love it and have done since I was really little, although it's a 15...It's just a lot of crazy Asian shit going down! Kurt Russell in a little vest, guns, martial arts and weird ass lightning magic!

The Wolf of Wall Street -
This one needs no introduction, Leo is my ultimate dreamboat, so there's plenty of eye candy in this film. Unsurprisingly it's one of my boyfriends favourites (cue naked Margot Robbie), it's a bit of a boys film, cars, drugs, girls, money, still a good laugh though!

Clueless -
I think Cher might be my spirit animal, Clueless is such a classic, all the problems of being a rich American teen, such a hard life! The fashion is still hilariously amazing to this day! Definitely a film for a girly night!

What have you been watching? I'd love some recommendations!

  • I'm watching Vampire Diaries at the moment - it's slow progress because I daren't allow myself to begin marathoning it, otherwise I won't get a thing done for weeks. I can't decide if I like Damon or not - it changes with each episode.

I've also started watching The Mortal Instruments - it's cheesy, the acting is questionable, but I quite like it.
