Blonde Ambition

Read & Reviewed #11

Hello all, I'm back today with another quick Read & Reviewed post, snappy little reviews of books I've been reading recently! I'm still on track with my Goodreads challenge at the moment, hoping I don't start to fall behind, I think that was my downfall last year. So on we go!

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews - 5/5 -
Based around Greg, whose mother rekindles his friendship with Rachel, whose just been diagnosed with Leukaemia. Sounds depressing but honestly this is one of the funniest books I've read. Obviously it has some heavy themes but the character development is great and it's just a really well written funny, heart wrenching book.

Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider - 5/5
Quite similar to the last book, it's set around Lane, a boy diagnosed with TB sent to live in a sanatorium with other teenage sufferers while being treated, there he meets Sadie and her group of eccentric friends and he realises getting sick is just the beginning. I loved this book, super descriptive you feel like you're right there with them, you really cared about the characters. Some again heart wrenching twists and turns but filled with sweet funny moment.

An Abundance of Katherines by John Green - 4/5
Set around Colin, who has been dumped by girls called Katherine nineteen times, on a road trip with his friend Hassan. Not my favourite John Green book but it has his unmistakable charming writing style. I really enjoyed the location the book was set in and thought there were some interesting themes.
