Recipe | Easter Bark

I can't believe Easter is coming soon! This year is disappearing before my eyes, I feel like it was Christmas two minutes ago! But I love Easter, any excuse to eat a load of chocolate and I'm there! Obviously I'm a sucker for a theme so this year I'll be doing 3 Easter themed recipes, so stay tuned! My first one as you can see is Easter bark! I've found a new love in bark and I thought with all the little treats you get at Easter it's a perfect recipe! I chose mini Creme Eggs and Mini Eggs but these days there are so many yummy ones you can use anything you like!

Ingredients -

200g milk chocolate
200g white chocolate
50g of any Easter toppings you like! (mini eggs, creme eggs etc!)

Method -

1. Firstly you'll want to line a baking tray, I used a square one that was about 8x8. Set aside.

2. In a microwavable bowl, break up 200g of the milk chocolate into pieces, melt in the microwave in 15 second bursts, stirring after each, it can burn super easily!

3. Pour the melted chocolate into the prepared tray and smooth over with a spatula. Place into the fridge for 20 minutes or until just set, if fully set they layers can separate.

4. After 20 minutes break up all of the white chocolate and place into a microwaveable bowl, again melt in 15 second bursts. Once melted spoon over the milk chocolate layer and smooth with a spatula.

5. Scatter your toppings all over the surface of the white chocolate, I used smashed up mini creme eggs and mini eggs, use whatever Easter treats you want!

6. Refrigerate until set, break up into pieces!
