As soon as I saw people posting photos of the recently opened Elder and Wolf in Whitley Bay, I just knew I had to pay them a visit! The promise of wood fired pizzas and flatbreads spoke to my soul! Located a little off the beaten track, it's by far worth searching out, my expectations were definitely met and exceeded! This place has to be the most Instagramable restaurant in Whitley Bay, the decor is gorgeous, modern with so much character, I absolutely loved the huge mural on the wall and the long wooden tables.

On a hot day me and my mam ordered blood orange San Pellegrino's, which were so refreshing and we browsed the menu. Their menu changes daily I believe and our offering consisted of a few wood fired pizzas, flatbread platters and the poshest kebab in Whitley Bay! I knew straight away that I wanted the Halloumi Platter and my mam decided on the same, although I knew she also had her eye on the chicken kebab!

I nearly fell off my chair when the platter arrived, it was huge! Definitely worth the £12 price tag! They weren't stingy on the halloumi which some places can be, there was a load of it! There were 2 huge flatbreads and that's just the beginning! To craft our flatbreads we had a gorgeous salad, chunky coleslaw, aioli, spicy sauce and a tomato salsa. It was out of this world! I was absolutely stuffed, my mam completely loved hers too! Everything was perfect, whatever the halloumi was cooked in was to die for!

I thought I might have to be rolled back to the car after polishing the lot off! I also wanted to mention how lovely and friendly the staff were, they were all so nice but really genuine! Even the lads cooking by the oven said bye as we left. We would a million percent definitely come back here, I really want to try one of their pizzas next. We had such a great experience here, I'd highly recommend visiting!
Have you been to Elder and Wolf?

I really want to go! The food always looks so good!
ReplyDeleteAh this looks amazing! xx
ReplyDeleteIt's such a lovely spot - I wish somewhere like this would open in Cramlington!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know this existed in Whitley Bay, I will need to have a walk around to see whereabouts it is and taste the food myself. The halloumi platter looks delicious and extremely filing too :) xx
