The Botanist always have great events so I was super pleased to be invited along to the opening their newly decked out roof terrace! The words "mulled wine or hot spiced cider on arrival" had me sold! I'm such a Winter person, there's nothing I love more than getting wrapped up and on this chilly night it was definitely needed! The theme of the terrace decor was to bringing Nordic to Newcastle. I'm a sucker for fairy lights so to see them everywhere made everything look gorgeous! I especially loved the skiing touches around, posters ski's and skiing boots dotted around the place.
With the smell of spices in the air we headed for a drink, Steven had the mulled wine (delicious!) and I tried the hot spiced cider, it was probably the best I've ever had, so so yummy, great to warm the cockles, a couple of mugs of this stuff went down very well! The little huts make great places to come for a hot drink with friends and give you a little shelter from the elements! Even with the drizzle the terrace does look magical and this time won't be the last this winter I'm up there with a mug of hot spiced cider in hand!
It looks so festive and beautiful! I love how you got hot spiced cider as you walked in and those biscuits look delicious too, it sounds as though you had an amazing night :) xx
