Blonde Ambition

On the Reading List | February 2017

So I'm still making my way through the tonne of books I got for Christmas with a couple of other new additions thrown in so here's whats currently top of my reading list!

Frozen Charlotte by Alex Bell
Dunvegan School for Girls has been closed for many years. Converted into a family home, the teachers and students are long gone. But they left something behind…Sophie arrives at the old schoolhouse to spend the summer with her cousins. Brooding Cameron with his scarred hand, strange Lillias with a fear of bones and Piper, who seems just a bit too good to be true. And then there’s her other cousin. The girl with a room full of antique dolls. The girl that shouldn’t be there. The girl that died.

One by Sarah Crossan
Grace and Tippi don't like being stared and sneered at, but they're used to it. They're conjoined twins - united in blood and bone. What they want is to be looked at in turn, like they truly are two people. They want real friends. And what about love? But a heart-wrenching decision lies ahead for Tippi and Grace. One that could change their lives more than they ever asked for...

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
We are the Liars.
We are beautiful, privileged and live a life of carefree luxury.
We are cracked and broken.
A story of love and romance.
A tale of tragedy.
Which are lies?
Which is truth?

The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware
This was meant to be the perfect trip. The Northern Lights. A luxury press launch on a boutique cruise ship. A chance for travel journalist Lo Blacklock to recover from a traumatic break-in that has left her on the verge of collapse. Except things don't go as planned. Woken in the night by screams, Lo rushes to her window to see a body thrown overboard from the next door cabin. But the records show that no-one ever checked into that cabin, and no passengers are missing from the boat. Exhausted and emotional, Lo has to face the fact that she may have made a mistake – either that, or she is now trapped on a boat with a murderer...

  1. Some great books there! Frozen Charlotte and One look particularly promising. I just finished reading The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson, and gave it 3/5 stars. Now I’m re-reading an autobiography by Victoria Beckham, it’s quite dated but I still love it, the writing style is very charming. It’s been on my bookshelf for years but it’s an old favourite! :-) xx
