The lovely people over at Birchbox kindly sent me a bottle of Caudalie Divine Legs Tinted Body Lotion* (here for £24.70) for review. A few years ago I was all about the self tanner, I used to put it on everyday before I went to school (as if I could be bothered!) anyway as the self tan trend died down I stopped slapping it on everyday. I very rarely use self tan, mainly because I get dry skin patches and it always clings to them, no matter how much I exfoliate or moisturize.
However this product is an amazing alternative to self tan. I'll start with the packaging, it's in a gorgeous glass bottle and has a fab luxury feel. Although it wouldn't be suitable for travelling. This tinted body lotion creates a gorgeous sun kissed glow, no streaks or biscuity smell. The consistency is really light and doesn't feel heavy when you apply it. This lotion also encourages the natural tanning process so it's fab when you have your pins out in the sun! I was a little apprehensive that this lotion would be too dark for me, even though it says it blends perfectly with all skin tones (I'm bordering on transparent). But how wrong I was! It was so easy to apply and blended perfectly into my skin without looking too dark or orange. There were no streaks in sight!
I was so pleased with this product, at the steep price tag I was expecting it to be very good and it definitely delivered, you really do get what you pay for! The lotion is made from 92.8% natural ingredients and is against animal testing which is also so important!
