A few days ago I picked up one of the new Collection Eyes Uncovered Palettes, wanting a palette that was predominantly matte shades, I picked up the Nude version. The shades from left to right are - White Chocolate (matte cream shade), Buttercream (shimmery champagne shade), Biscuit (beige shimmery shade), Chocolate Milk (reddish brown shimmery shade), Brown Sugar (light brown shimmery shade) and Espresso (darkest brown matte shade).
I picked up the palette for £2.99 in Boots, although at regular price is £3.99. The only thing I've tried from Collection is their Lasting Perfection Concealer which I love, I'd heard good things about this palette so I thought I would give it a whirl. When it comes to eyeshadows, I'm a bit of a snob, Urban Decay set the bar, however for the price of these, I wasn't expecting big things!
I think the range of shades look lovely in the palette, however the lightest shades were a bit non existent on the eyes. The darker shades weren't very pigmented so took a lot of building up (even then they were a bit wishy washy!). I will say that for budget eyeshadows, they blended really nicely.
I don't think this palette is anything to write home about, but for the price, you can't really complain! I would probably recommend it to someone who doesn't really use eyeshadows a lot.
Have you tried this palette?
I find that budget eyeshadows are fine until you hit the matte shades, the only ever mattes I've had that worked are from my Urban Decay palettes!
