When it comes to giving gifts, I love really making an effort to make them personal, I always try to include something handmade or something put together myself. n the past I've decorated boxes and filled them with little personal gifts, or created a little scrapbook etc. For my boyfriends birthday this year I decided to create a couple of little cinema themed hampers. I found that by shopping around you can make them super personal without breaking the bank!
Me and my boyfriend both love films and going to the cinema so I thought as a little side gift I would make some hampers. I'm totally obsessed with the popcorn boxes, they were only £2 each at Discount UK I think it's called, but I've seen them around at places like B&M and Home Bargains.
I wanted to put a few DVD's into the hampers so instead of buying them full price I went to CEX which stocks loads of second hand DVD's. They check that they work etc and I think you can find a good range of films, old and new!
My boyfriend really likes American candy, when you get the stores and stalls that sell the American sweets, they can be so so expensive! I would highly recommend visiting places like Poundland/Poundworld and again B&M for American sweets. They nearly always have a good selection for super cheap! Some things I've seen for £1 are Nerds, Sweetarts, Cookie Dough Bites (lots of different flavours), Runts, Reeces Pieces. As well as Twinkies (I got a full box in B&M for £2!), Tootsie Rolls, Hershey's, Twizzlers and more!
I also wanted to include some different popcorns and crisps, a place that I would recommend visiting for that kind of thing is TK Maxx. They always have fun snacks that are usually from other countries. I managed to get a big bag of cinema style popcorn and a few other unusual foodie treats!
I hope that you have found my little tips helpful! Obviously you don't have to do a cinema themed hamper, I might do some other themes, let me know!
If you enjoyed this post I would love if you would consider nominating me in the North East Blogger Awards under Best Looking Blog, details here!
I love this idea! Will definitely be taking some inspiration from your amazing effort, for my Christmas presents to people this year! Super cute! :)
