Last year I decided I wanted to put together a little Halloween buffet, this was fuelled by looking through fab Halloween ideas on Pinterest! Since obviously it would've been too late to post this last year, I thought I would post it now to give you some inspiration!
I got all my table decorations from Tesco, I'm sure they'll have the fun bits in this year, I managed to get a table cloth, some Halloween balloons, paper plates, little felt table sprinkles too. They ghost and pumpkin candle holders I picked up from the pound shop, total bargains!
Onto the food, I decided on making some Halloween muffins, I went for chocolate muffins with white decorations. I picked up one of those white icing pens and made spider web and mummy designs, using jelly spiders and smarties as eyes. I also crushed up some Oreos on the top of some to look like dirt then put some jelly fingers on them, I think they look really cute!
I also made some hotdogs to look like mummy's, again this is a super easy one, you just want to cut out thin strips of pastry and wrap them around hotdogs to look like bandages, bang them in the oven and you're done! For drinks, I made a punch and filled a latex glove with it, tied it at the top and put it in the freezer, when it came out it looked like a hand, really cool!
I also made a jelly, I crumbled biscuits on top to look like dirt, then added jelly snakes! You can't really see in the photo but I also made pretzel pumpkins, I melted white chocolate and added orange food colouring, I dipped the pretzels in the mix and added a green smartie at the top to look like a stem!
I loved putting all this together, I'm a sucker for a theme! Are you going to throw your own Halloween buffet?

I love this! I will definitely be having a go myself with some of these! I think I'll try the jelly and pretzels for work next week! :)

Thanks lovely! :) x
DeleteI love this idea - I've been a bad parent and haven't made any halloween food this year - may improvise with hot dogs (or fingers!!) in buns.
