First off, I hope you all had an amazing Christmas! I had such a wonderful day, I was lucky enough to get some fab presents and stuffed my face with food (I'm still stuffing my face with food!). So I decided to do a "What I Got For Christmas" post, I absolutely love reading other's peoples so I thought I would share the gorgeous gifts I received. As always, I'm in no way trying to brag, I'm so grateful to my family and my boyfriend for choosing these lovely gifts!
Here's a little collection of food/drink gifts, obviously a variety of teas, I'm a tea fiend! My mam also got me a Starbucks dusting set to go on top of hot drinks. My boyfriend got me an amazing set of chocolate glasses?! No idea how I'll use them but amazing nonetheless! He also picked up the set of farmyard animal chocolates (he knows my obsession with farm animals!) and a gorgeous set from Hotel Chocolat, so so delicious!
For lifestyle bits, a super exciting gift from my boyfriends mam was a Jo Malone candle in the Peony & Blush Suede scent, it smells amazing! From other family members I got a lovely Yankee Candle wax melts gift set with all the Christmas scents, so nice! Another candle in the shape of the L'Occitane Cherry Blossom scent, again smells amazing! Also a cute pair of Sweet Snuggles socks and a Happy Jackson coin purse.
I'm a complete hoarder of books, including baking and cooking books! This was my first Christmas as a vegetarian, can't believe it's almost been a year! So like my affinity for baking, I also love vegetarian cookbooks. My mam and boyfriend picked up some of these gorgeous books including Veggiestan, The Ginger & White Cookbook, Anjum's Indian Vegetarian Feast, The Clandestine Cake Club A Year in Cake, Primrose Bakery Everyday and The Baker's Daughter.
Another couple of home bits from my mam, she picked me up this amazing Harry Potter themed wooden crate with the Ollivander's logo etc printed on, so unique! As well as this light up K for my room.
I was also lucky enough to receive some lovely bath and body bits from family members, I got 2 different Soap & Glory sets which are always winners, the Bright and Bubbly set and the In the Bag set. I got a cute little Hershey's Lip Gloss and Balm set, a Sweet Snuggles body set, some L'Occitane Rose Bath Salts, the Zoella Bath Bombini's and the Zoella Fizz Bar Trio.
I had lots of books on my Christmas list, ready for next year's Goodreads Challenge. I've been posting about my reading lists and book reviews as part of my challenge this year and will be continuing next year, I think I ended up with 38 books read this year. I had a target of 50 but I think in between uni work, I've done pretty well!
Another lot of beauty bits, these are mostly higher end, from my mam I got the Neom Complete Bliss Moroccan Blush Rose Hand Wash and the Neom Little Things to Make you Happy set, both are totally gorgeous! My boyfriend picked me up the Laura Mercier Matte to Metal Caviar Stick Collection, which look amazing, I can't wait to try them! He also picked me up the This Works Calm Kiss set which has 2 of the rollerballs in and the Caudalie Beauty Elixir Tree Ornament. My auntie also got me the Prada Candy perfume which smells gorgeous!
Onto some baking bits, one of my favourite hobbies! My mam got me 2 aprons, both lovely, a George Home festive print one and The North Pole Baking Company one in a vintage polka dot pattern. She also got me a little set of cupcake cases and cookie cutters, both with the London theme. She also got me a Great British Bake Off Pointed Wooden Spoon and a Happy Jackson mug. My boyfriend picked me up these gorgeous Hummingbird Bakery Measuring Spoons, I've wanted these for ages, can't wait to give them a go!
Some other crafty stationary type gifts from my mam, include some Pocket Pages for my scrapbook, I've been rubbish at keeping track of it this year, I really need to finish it off before I start a new one! Some doodle books, a little pencil set and a list notebook.
Again as I mentioned before, hot drinks are my thing, my mam really went to town! She made me this gift hamper, she purchased some chocolates, hot chocolate and biscuits from Whittard of Chelsea and added a couple of her own bits in. I also got 3 more sets of hot chocolates with all different flavours, I'll be set for the rest of the year!
Finally my big presents this year came from my dad and boyfriend, my dad got me a PS4 which I've been wanting for ages, I really needed an upgrade from my PS3 which was literally the oldest model and made more noise than my TV! I got the set with Star Wars Battlefront included, I'm the biggest Star Wars fan so I was so pleased! My boyfriend also completely surprised me by getting me a new Samsung 40" Smart TV for my bedroom as well as tickets to see Rihanna in June! If any of you follow me on Twitter you will have seen how upset I was to not have the money so buy them, then he surprised me, I cannot wait!
