In December me and Steven took ourselves off on a little city break to Bruges! It was our first time in Belgium and we were blown away by just how lovely it is here. Ever the one for planning down to a T I've done a little round up of some places where we ate that were really nice! It was gorgeous here just before Christmas but I'm sure it's lovely all year around!
Breakfast -
Carpe Diem Tearoom - This little spot was just around the corner from our hotel, we had breakfast here and as you can see we were drawn in by the humongous pancakes! Huge ass pancakes has sort of become a tradition on our city breaks...Anyway they were absolutely delicious so I'd definitely recommend trying here.
Books and Brunch - This was another place we went to for breakfast, it's basically a cafe inside a book shop, it's the dream! How amazing is that huge mug of tea with the mug cosy?! Also pretty much everywhere you go here you get a little bit of cake with your hot drink! Can we bring that over here?! The breakfast here was so yummy, big portions and good value for money, eggs bacon (for Steven) loads of different types of bread, butter, nutella, jam, orange juice, tea & coffee, is there anything better?
Lunch -
Gingerbread Tea Room - When I was doing some researching on lunch spots, as soon as I saw the bagels at Gingerbread Tea Room I knew it was a must! They were absolutely huge! Filled to the brim with scrambled egg, Stevens with ham too, and the biggest side salad in the world! I also had a delicious pumpkin spice latte, the staff here who are husband and wife are so nice too!
Snacks -
Belgian Frites! - You can't go to Belgium without trying the famous Belgian frites! These little shops are quite frequent here, so make sure you get a huge cone full and smother them in mayo! So Good!
