We had a jam packed day for our last full day in London, catch up on Day 1 and Day 2! Our third day was my boyfriends birthday so we had lots of fun things planned. Starting off with breakfast at the Duck and Waffle. We were super excited for this, it's on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower and the view is amazing! My boyfriend went for a full english and I went for the Bananas Brûlée Waffles, such a gorgeous breakfast!
From there we travelled over to Camden. We spent some time looking up and down the high street which is just fab to look at. We made our way to the lock and did some browsing in the markets. We had our lunch there, it took us so long to decide what to get, so many gorgeous options! My boyfriend chose a Turkish chicken wrap and I went for a falafel and halloumi wrap, with freshly squeezed lemonade. If I lived near I would be there everyday, the whole place was so cool!
Next we did our second super touristy visit of the trip to Madame Tussauds! We visited at about 3:30 and there was no queue, so I would recommend visiting later in the day! We both actually enjoyed it a lot more than we thought. We heard horror stories about it being so busy you can't move or see anything but that wasn't the case at the time at all! Most of the figures were really good, the place is laid out really well and there's so much to see! The scream section is really fun, we loved the little taxi ride and the Marvel 4D experience. The new Star Wars section was fab, I'm a massive Star Wars fan, I was totally in my element!
After going back to the hotel to change we made our way to Bob Bob Ricard for dinner, this is a Russian/English fusion restaurant with totally opulent decoration. It's a fancy kind of place and I didn't appreciate being looked up and down by the hostess at the door, like I wasn't good enough to be there...it's hardly the Ritz! Anyhow we both still had a lovely meal, I went for the Lobster Mac and Cheese which was divine! We also loved the novelty of the press for champagne button! I requested something special for my boyfriends birthday and was so pleased when they brought out a Happy Birthday ice cream cake with a sparkler!
Stay tuned for the final part of our trip to London!
