Something I'm so on board with is the sweet and salty vibe, sweet and salty popcorn, chocolate covered salted pretzels, you name it! So I'm taking that to a new level, something that they've definitely embraced over the pond, combining potato chips (crisps to you and me) in a cookie! These little Idaho Potato Treats and the perfect mix of sweet and salty, crunchy and soft. You might think they sound a little scary but they're delicious and SO easy to make!

Ingredients -
200g unsalted butter, softened
100g light brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
300g plain flour
50g chocolate chips
50g plain salted ruffled crisps
Method -
1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C/Gas Mark 4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar, stir in the vanilla and flour. Mix in the chocolate chips and crisps. Drop teaspoon sized amounts of the dough onto the baking sheet and flatten with a fork.
3. Bake for 15 minutes until the edges are golden. Cool for 10 minutes on the sheet then transfer to a wire rack to cool fully.
